Colleen Thaxton (she/her) graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development with double minors in Ethnic Studies and Psychology.

While in school, Colleen fell in love with working in education and youth programming, specifically in the behind-the-scenes role of administration. She has previously managed the front office of a K-12 school and worked as a program assistant for the San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation’s after-school program.

Colleen also has a strong passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion both personally and professionally, and is excited to continue that mission in Sequoyah’s supportive community. Colleen loves reading a book in the sunshine, having game nights with her friends and family, attending Dodgers games, and being one of Altadena’s biggest fans!
