Greg Harrison
Physics

Greg Harrison has a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MIT and a MS in Aerospace Engineering from USC. He served as an officer in US Air Force Space program, then began at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL). He worked on the Galileo mission to Jupiter, followed by Deep Space 1, Mars Sample Return, and the Mars Exploration Rovers. During this time, he began studying, performing and coaching improvisational comedy. When his first son was born, he opted to leave JPL to be an “at home” dad while his wife Nikki established her career.

When his sons began school, he observed and was sparked by their educational experiences, which led to his interest in teaching. He began his journey into education as a math teacher and evolved into his role as a multi-subject high school science teacher at The Waverly School which was his role for most of the last decade. Greg is a science enthusiast who enjoys laughing, being surrounded by trees, waking up at odd hours to observe the night sky, and baking bread.
