Kristi M. Eddy
K-12 Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Kristi M. Eddy joins our K-12 administrative team as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Kristi is formerly the assistant principal at Simon Technology Academy High School in Watts and has classroom experience teaching government/economics and AP/U.S. History/African American & Latin American Studies at the middle and high school levels. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies with a minor in history from California State University, Long Beach and earned two Master of Education degrees from UCLA; teacher education with an emphasis on urban education and in principal leadership, highlighting educational leadership and administration.

Kristi has published three children’s books aimed at inspiring young girls to see beauty as undefined: Beauty Is; La Belleza Es; and Color Me Beautiful. Her educational and professional background includes explorations of educational injustice and equal access specializing in systems building, academic language development, cross-curricular data analysis, and anti-racist leadership.

Kristi serves in a K-12 capacity to help us expand the ways in which we are moving our DEI work forward at Sequoyah School and in our communities.
