Field Studies

Field Studies

The Summer at Sequoyah Field Studies program is open to students in rising 4th through 12th grade who are looking for a fun outdoor experience this summer!

This summer opportunity isn’t just about camping or hiking; it’s aligned with Sequoyah’s mission to challenge the mind, nurture the heart, and celebrate human dignity. Our approach to outdoor education welcomes everyone, regardless of past experience or background, to join a group of peers in community among breathtaking natural surroundings.

Success in the Field Studies program doesn’t necessarily mean students finish a trip saying they love the outdoors or backpacking. (Though that tends to happen too!) We use the outdoors to learn about ourselves, about those around
us, and about our natural world. We practice teamwork, embracing productive challenge, and individual expression.

No prior experience is needed to participate, but each trip features different levels of physical exertion.
