Edlín (she/her) began her teaching career 18 years ago after earning her Spanish Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching from UC Irvine. She taught a wide range of Spanish courses—including AP and heritage language classes—at an inner-city high school in Koreatown, where she found joy in helping students celebrate their voices and cultures through language. Her experience with project-based learning solidified her belief that learning should be relevant, purposeful, and rooted in student experience. A Sequoyah parent for seven years, Edlín chairs the Parent/Guardian Ed Committee and serves on the Anti-Bias Task Force. She is excited to grow alongside the Sequoyah community in a place that honors both intellect and heart.
