Gabe’s journey at Sequoyah began as a kindergartner in 1993. Though he graduated Sequoyah’s eighth grade in 2002, he stayed connected to the community through younger siblings, Sunday basketball games, and alumni friends. After becoming a Banana Slug at U.C. Santa Cruz and later working in sports media and journalism, Gabe formally returned to Sequoyah as a teacher in 2013. Gabe has been coaching Sequoyah’s basketball and soccer teams for over a decade and enjoys winning championships, making memories, and helping kids find their athletic potential. Outside of school, you can find Gabe drinking coffee, cycling, and cheering for LA sports teams.
