Amit (he/him) is a physician-scientist turned healthcare management consultant, currently a Partner in McKinsey and Company’s Southern California office. At McKinsey, Amit focuses his work on re-design of care delivery to holistic and value-based care. He leads the Firm’s work with specialty care providers, supporting their transition to value-based payment models that align incentives across the healthcare value chain and reward providers for outcomes vs. volume of care provided. Prior to McKinsey, Amit trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Yale University, and completed a PhD with Nobel Laureates Mike Brown and Joe Goldstein at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His clinical work included provision of primary care and HIV care to underserved communities in the US and in India, and he has over 10 years of experience in biomedical research. Amit‘s daughter is a K-8 student at Sequoyah School.
