Faculty Position

Position Overview
We are currently accepting applications for an immediate start.
Roles and Responsibilities
The long-term substitute position responsibilities include:
- Teach two Spanish course sections (Spanish 1 and Spanish 4)
- Facilitate a weekly Spanish language conversation group
- Potentially act as an Advisor to a group of 10-12 students
- Facilitate a group in the Social Innovation Program (SIP) during the weekly SIP block
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must have native Spanish language fluency and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Spanish-language instruction
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
Successful candidates will also have the following qualifications:
- A commitment to equity and inclusion
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a K-12 school setting
- Demonstrated interest in inquiry-based, experiential, and deeper learning and competency-based assessment
- Interest in participating in field studies/camping trips
- Interest in interdisciplinary learning and teaching
- Teach from an inclusive, anti-racist standpoint
- Demonstrated sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of high school students
