Deena Elrefai (she/her) is an outdoor educator originally from Leesburg, Virginia. She graduated from Elon University in 2022 with a double major in Public Health Studies and Experiential Education, along with a minor in Spanish. In 2023, she completed a Fulbright English Teaching Fellowship in Uruguay, where she worked with primary, secondary, and teacher training students.
Deena is passionate about using the outdoors as a medium for students to find confidence, connect with the natural world, and build meaningful relationships. Through the field studies program, she hopes students can embrace productive challenges and celebrate their authentic selves in the outdoors.
