Director of Social Innovation; Co-Coordinator of Restorative Practices

Sequoyah welcomes Joel as its Assistant Director of Social Innovation and the Co-Coordinator of Restorative Practices. Joel has an extensive background in both experiential learning and independent schools, having worked at Milken, Waverly, and Wildwood over the past 20 years. Prior to his time at Milken, he was Assistant Head of School at Waverly and Director of Middle School for Wildwood. He also has considerable experience organizing and leading student trips for middle and high school students, both locally and abroad.

Joel’s favorite pastime is taking road trips with his family, wife Katie and daughters Lucia and Lila.
