Juana Eslava-Bejarano

Juana (they/them) is an educator with experience teaching Spanish as a second language, gender studies, and craftivism. They graduated from Ohio University with an M.A. in Spanish and from San Diego State University with an M.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Juana studied Literature and Art History. Since 2019, they have engaged in artivism for animal rights through a compassionate lens with their vegan collective. Recently, Juana taught healing arts to incarcerated populations with the Prison Arts Collective and looks forward to joining the Sequoyah community in the coming academic year.
