Solaar KirkDacker is thrilled to return to Sequoyah as the Burrow’s Associate Teacher. She earned her BA in Political Science from Vassar College, where she focused on Indigenous Studies, education, and community organizing. She also spent time living in Tucson, where she discovered her love for teaching while volunteering in school gardens and classrooms throughout the borderlands.
As a Sequoyah alum, Solaar understands the impact of a Sequoyah education and is honored to help continue that tradition and bring curiosity, care, and a love for learning into the lives of her students.
