Tasha Willis (she/her/ella) is a dedicated social work educator with a passion for educational equity, global learning, and building inclusive communities. She is a Professor of Social Work, MSW Program Director, and Faculty Director for Internationalization at Cal State Los Angeles. She teaches courses on intersectionality and cultural humility, and works to create meaningful opportunities for underserved students to learn and thrive—locally and globally. Tasha co-founded the Social Work Abroad Program (SWAP), a nonprofit supporting international learning, and is helping bring Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) to Cal State LA. She has worked at every level of the educational pipeline, always focused on expanding access and promoting equity. Originally from Chicago, Tasha earned her BA in International Studies from Kenyon College (where she was a scholar-athlete), her MSW from the University of Chicago, and her Ed.D. in Higher Educational Leadership from Cal State Long Beach. She’s a proud parent with a son at Sequoyah’s K–8 school.
