Derrick (he/him) is a dedicated and experienced educator committed to helping students thrive academically and personally. With over 15 years of classroom experience spanning kindergarten through sixth grade, Derrick is known for his ability to create engaging, inclusive learning environments and build strong, meaningful relationships with students and families. He specializes in differentiated instruction, curriculum development, and classroom management, always striving to meet the unique needs of every learner.

Derrick holds a Master’s in African-American Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCLA, as well as a BA in Business Administration from Howard University.
