Emily Singer earned her BA in English from Binghamton University and her MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. As a teacher and administrator, she has facilitated spaces of mutual support, learning, and growth, for teachers, students, and parents. However, her schooling in education started in the Sequoyah-like progressive elementary school she attended in Upstate New York.
In the broader Los Angeles area, Emily also co-leads a Leadership Circle for Women and Other Underrepresented Genders in independent schools. When she’s not at Sequoyah, Emily enjoys baking bread, camping, fiber crafts, and road trips with her family and large fluffy dog.
