A California native, Joey (he/him) has worked for Sequoyah since 2016, starting in Daycare before advancing to the Treehouse as both associate teacher and Lead. He holds a bachelor’s in Arts and Letters from Cal State LA and is currently pursuing a masters in English Literature. He is a married father of with three sons and enjoys spending time with family, cycling, camping, writing and reading, and skateboarding. He loves teaching at Sequoyah, has a strong interest in progressive education, and hopes to be able to foster the importance of lifelong learning, community-building, and self-empowerment in his students.
