Director of Advancement

Lee Taylor is passionate about access, equity, and community. She has a diverse background in the nonprofit sector – as a performer, writer, teacher, strategist, and fundraiser. She sees herself first and foremost as a storyteller, developing unique messaging and strategic initiatives to advance missions.

Lee was most recently Director of Development of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, where she worked to reinvigorate a culture of philanthropy in the post-pandemic period. She was pivotal in the creation of a new partnership with Heart of Los Angeles that provides tuition-free choral training to underserved youth. Prior to LACC, Lee worked for the social services organization ETTA on a $30M capital campaign. As a result, in 2025 the Bhatia Family Village apartment community will open in Beverlywood, providing adults with special needs their first independent homes.

Lee holds concurrent bachelor’s degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music and Tufts University. She also has a Master of Music from Florida State University and an MFA in creative writing from The New School. She lives in Highland Park with her two school-aged children and two of LA’s finest mutts.
