Physics

A scientist, teacher, artist, idealist, and ever-curious child-at-heart, Tim’s goal is to help his fellow humans engage with complex ideas in personally rewarding ways and thereby grow their understanding and appreciation of the natural world. He has worked on quantum information at Los Alamos National Lab, studied photonics with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and helped with quantitative ecology at the National Park Service.

As an educator, Tim has created analog simulations of ecosystems and solar systems and taught a wide range of science classes covering sewn circuits, interplanetary travel, optics, and more. In his free time, Tim enjoys playing games, hiking mountains, reading schlocky sci-fi, befriending the neighborhood cats, and watching the grass grow.
