Julian (he/him) serves as a District Representative for State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez (CA-25th), representing Crescenta Valley, San Marino, and specializing on the issues of labor and human trafficking. Born and raised in Glendale and La Crescenta, Julian received a B.A. in Sociology and graduated from the Brady-Johnson Program in Grand Strategy from Yale University, where he was elected student body president and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
Upon returning to Los Angeles, Julian completed the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs, working across the public and private sectors, political campaigns, and studying critical regional issues such as housing, transportation, and water/energy. With aims to work at the nexus of human rights, human trafficking, and law, Julian has worked short stints at the ACLU of SoCal, Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (LA), Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and various other community-based organizations.
Julian is a recent alum of Sequoyah’s high school (Class of ‘21), as well as former Counselor and Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at Sequoyah Summerhouse.
