Steve (he/him) is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and the Founder, CEO, and Medical Director of Mind Study Center in Pasadena. He is double board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Steve completed his general psychiatry training at UC San Diego and his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Stanford University, where he served as Chief Fellow. He earned his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar at the National Institutes of Health.

Through his work at Mind Study Center, Steve leads a multidisciplinary team providing psychiatric care, psychotherapy, and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and families. He has served as adjunct clinical faculty at Stanford University and USC, and he has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in psychiatry and neuroscience.

Steve is especially interested in child development, student well-being, family systems, and how schools can support the emotional and psychological growth of children while maintaining high expectations for learning. He is a Sequoyah parent and is grateful to support the school’s mission, values, and long-term future as a member of the Board of Trustees.
