Over the course of his career, Zahir has served as a teacher, college counselor, Head of School, and most recently Director of Admissions at New Roads School. At Sequoyah, he will serve in a senior strategic leadership role focused on guiding the school’s long-term enrollment vision and strengthening the overall admissions and enrollment landscape across K–12. His work includes enrollment strategy, forecasting, retention, outreach, and partnership across divisions to help ensure Sequoyah’s continued vibrancy and sustainability in a rapidly changing educational environment.
Zahir’s experience spans school leadership, accreditation, governance, and community-building across both independent and public school settings, and he is especially energized by the opportunity to help families connect with the values and promise of a progressive education.
