A founding Humanities teacher of Sequoyah’s high school, Sean Hamidi returned to Sequoyah after working in progressive politics during the 2020 Election cycle.
Eric Libicki earned his BA in Geophysics from Occidental College and a MS in Geological Science from the University of Southern California.
Marcela Rojas was born and raised in Costa Rica. She studied in México, Spain, and Puerto Rico, where she earned a BFA in painting at the Escuela de Artes Plásticas.
Paula comes to Sequoyah from UCLA, where she served as an assistant adjunct professor in the department of Spanish and Portuguese.
RJ Sakai, a Sequoyah alum, serves as Sequoyah’s Director of Social Innovation at the high school. He has recently joined Marisol Pérez as co-Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Marisol holds a master’s degree from UCLA, and her doctoral studies focused on the intersection of Latin American Literature, Chicano Studies, and Women’s Studies.
Natalie has extensive childcare experience and is working toward earning a degree in early childhood education at Pasadena City College.
Bailey is incredibly excited for the opportunity to serve as Sequoyah School’s full-time educational technology specialist.
Daniel Yu comes to Sequoyah after teaching at St. Mary’s College of Maryland as a visiting assistant professor of English.
