Gloria Quintaglie

  Substitute Teacher, Daycare

Gloria is a former parent, a longtime member of the Sequoyah community, and a true believer in progressive education. She began her work at Sequoyah coaching the volleyball team and volunteering in and out of the classroom, eventually working as a substitute teacher in K-8.

Delighted to continue her journey at Sequoyah, she believes every day here is an adventure in discovery through the honesty and clear view of the world that children offer, encompassing everything worth learning.

In her earlier life, Gloria volunteered as a child advocate for at-risk LGBT youth in Tucson, Arizona, and coordinated a Meals-on-Wheels program for the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation. She studied Psychology and Creative Writing at Pima College. She is actively pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Pacific Oaks College.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Gloria is a diehard New Englander. In her hours away from Sequoyah, she spends time with her son Malcolm, listening to music, and trying to absorb all that nature has to offer.  Most mornings, you can find her walking the Arroyo, headphones on.
